Plantation Day in DBEC |

|
To enrich the environment with greenery and to make it
pollution free the students of Desh Bhagat Engineering College formed a NGO “ KUDRAT”.
The members of this NGO organigned a function as “Plantation Day” on
11.11.09. which was presided by the chairman of Desh Bhagat Group of
Institutes, Dr. Zora Singh. He applauded initiative taken by the students
of the college and encourage them to take up similar projects of social
awareness more vigorously. The vice chairperson Mrs. Tajinder Kaur, Director
General Mrs. Shalini Gupta and Principal Dr. Tejwant Singh also attended the
function and congratulated the members for taking such initiative |

2 Days NSS Camp
at DBEC |

A 2 days camp of NSS unit of Desh Bhagat Engineering
College was inaugurated by the Chairman Desh Bhagat Group of Institutes Dr. Zora
Singh on 11.11.09. About 150 students of the college attend the camp. The camp
was to clean the surroundings of the college and painting of the road sides of
all the roads in the campus. The chairman appreciated the college organizers
& students of NSS unit to initiate such projects to improve the environment
of the campus, and informed that these camps not only teach the dignity of
labour but also enhance the sense of responsibility in the minds of the
participants towards the society and Environment. Mrs. Tajinder Kaur, Vice
chairperson of DBGOI asked the NSS unit of the college to take up other socially
relevant projects. Prof. Shalini Gupta, Director General of DBGOI and Dr.
Tejwant Singh Principal of the College also congratulated the students and
express the hope that other students would also be motivated to join such camps. |

Facilitation of Volley Ball Players in DBEC |

In
the recently concluded PTU inter college Volley Ball Tournament the team of Desh
Bhagat Engineering, Mandi Gobingarh College got the second position and was
awarded silver medals by the university. The Chairman of Desh Bhagat Group of
Institutes Dr. Zora Singh, vice chairperson Mrs. Tajinder Kaur, Director General
Mrs. Shalini Gupta facilitated the team members on a specially arranged function
on 11.11.09 to appreciate these achievements and extolled them to work hard to
be on the top. |
